Martyrs’ Day: Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky assures killers of dire consequences

At this year’s commemoration of the Martyrs’ Day held in Zaria on Saturday 28 Rajab, 1436 (28/05/2015), Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, His Eminence Shaikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, while assuring the Movement’s martyrs of eternal bliss, assured their killers of dire consequences as their heinous act were documented. Shaikh Zakzaky has revealed that the soldiers that killed 34 members of the Islamic Movement in Zaria, including three of his children in cold blood, detonated bomb on Ashura procession in Potiskum were the same people that to kill President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari and Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi in Kaduna last year under the guise of Boko Haram. He pointed out that, the government was yet to offer explanation on these attempts, which clearly proved its complicity in planning and execution of the attacks. "We know their full record and identities of perpetrators of the heinous act, and full records of the role played by each of them. We want to therefore assure them that unless they are brought to justice, we are going to continue to hold them accountable for the blood of our brothers and they can't get away with it no matter how long it takes”. The Leader took time to narrate how the Nigerian security intensified unrelenting manhunt on him since before the 2014 Quds massacre, which he said was always met with failure. He also wondered how recent assassination attempts and planned massacres were always intensified and heightened in holy months, from Rajab, Sha’aban to Ramadan. He further explained how in last year’s month of Sha’aban, Nigerian government contracted the services of a killer company in the United States called Patrick Williams who was mandated to use every security apparatus and units in Nigeria to actualize the project. “Those foreign operatives that came into the country in the guise of recovering the Chibok girls were used for the operation. They laid siege on Nisf Sha’aban while were going home, but a heavy downpour thwarted their plan. So desperate, they came to Gyellesu (my residence) at night, Allah instilled fear in them and had to retreat”. According to His Eminence, through Allah’s protection he has escaped many assassination attempts, siege and ambush by the Nigerian security while going or coming back from Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah from his home, several of which were untold. “Because we have become used to the attempts, as an already failed project”. Shaikh Zakzaky revealed that, U.S. and Israel had assured Goodluck Jonatahn that he would continue in power if only he could kill me, hence his desperation, adding that series of attempts on his life before the election were part of the plan, especially to avoid the election, which yielded not positive result. He further said, the recent planned failed attack on his residence in Gyellesu was aimed at causing chaos to in order not to hand over power. “Part of the plan was also to unleash mayhem in Gyellesu, kill him and plunge the country in anarchy so that the in-coming government inherits the problem”. He explained that, what transpired in Gyellesu was just a smoke-screen using hooligans as front to actualize a planned attack on him in the remaining days before the handing over of power. He finally assured that, all their efforts will be in vain and the Islamic Movement will wax stronger and stronger. Earlier, Shaikh Zakzaky spoke on the martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kazeem (AS), whom he described as an embodiment of good conduct, exemplary dedication and perseverance in the face of trial and tribulation.
